At the Family Physicians of Iola, KS, we are dedicated to providing the finest possible healthcare for all members of your family. We offer a broad spectrum of services--from pediatric, obstetric, and gynecologic care to adult and geriatric medicine. We are now adding Physical Therapy!
Responsibilities Include but are Not Limited to:
Provides skilled physical therapy treatment plans in accordance with physician orders and by assessing and interpreting evaluations and test results of patients.
Act as the patient’s partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best
Maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation.
Reducing the need for medications and providing alternatives to surgery
Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
Assures continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instructing patients, recommending and/or providing assistive equipment; recommending follow-up programs.
BS, MS, or DPT in Physical Therapy from an accredited program
Valid license to practice physical therapy in KS
Prefer 2 years of experience, New Grads considered
Intensive education and clinical expertise/ Current knowledge of treatment practices
Ability to manage patients with different types of personalities
Excellent interpersonal communication skills
Full-Time (40 hours/week)
